About RECG
Get to know the Real Estate Club Groningen (RECG). Students and alumni of the Master’s program in Real Estate Studies at the University of Groningen wanted to set up their own study association, focused on real estate. The aim of the association is to bring students and alumni into contact with business, government, and science. The RECG foundation was officially established at the beginning of 2016. The board of the RECG organizes numerous activities, such as in-house days, pub lectures, and drinks. All these activities are aimed at discussing the latest insights within the field of real estate and bringing students into contact with the professional field. Because of the RECG, academic students, alumni, and professionals have a platform in the field of real estate to bring practice and science together.
Chairman
As chairman, you and your group are responsible for the ins and outs of the RECG. The duties of the chair are to maintain an overview the group and to maintain contact with the other boards of the University, the Executive Board, and the Advisory Council. As chairman you help all other functions with their tasks and you are working on improving the RECG. You quickly build up a large network and are the face of the RECG. In short, a very challenging and instructive position!
Company Relations
In the position of Company Relations you are responsible for all communication with companies in the real estate sector. In addition, you maintain good contacts with our partners by organizing events such as pub lectures, lunch lectures, workshops, and in-house days. You also critically examine whether the current sponsor base still meets the wishes of the students and you are proactive in seeking out possible new collaborations. In short, you are the connecting link between the labor market and the students! Do you know how to present yourself well, are you enthusiastic and not afraid to pick up the phone? Student Relations & Secretary
The purpose of the Secretary & Student Relations position is to streamline communication to and from the RECG and to connect students to the RECG. The Secretary & Student Relations position provides administrative support to the RECG. In addition, he/she connects students to the RECG through regular and adequate communication between students and the RECG.
Marketing
In the marketing function, you are responsible for creatively promoting the foundation and the associated events through various (social media) channels. By means of this position, you are responsible for presenting the foundation to the outside world! The tasks associated with this position include creating event posters, designing & ordering promotional material, and maintaining the social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and the website). In addition to developing your creative side, you also get the chance to further develop your real estate knowledge and build a network! Knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop is not mandatory, but pro it is.
Treasurer
As treasurer of the RECG you are responsible for the financial policy of the foundation. This means that in addition to accounting, you also deal with financial issues and ensure that the RECG remains financially healthy in the long term. In addition to these job-specific tasks, there is also room to pick up other ideas and plans, making it a very diverse position!
