As a Junior Project Manager in healthcare and education real estate, you will be part of the project and program management team in the Healthy Society department. In this role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues on the most complex new construction and renovation projects in the social sector, primarily in healthcare and education. Your responsibilities will include setting up project organizations, coordinating designers, advisors, project managers, and contractors, preparing reports for decision-making by the client, selecting and contracting all design and construction partners for the client, monitoring planning, budget, quality, opportunities, risks, stakeholder satisfaction, and many other aspects that come with the broad field of project management.
You will work for inspiring clients on leading projects, such as the construction of the HollandPTC proton therapy center in Delft, a new oncological and neurological research and diagnostics building in the Zuidas district, development programs for Utrecht University, or the construction of a new sustainable laboratory building.
You will collaborate with colleagues with various expertise and be part of project teams, which may consist of project managers, technical specialists, cost and risk consultants, and/or legal advisors. Initially, you will work as an assistant on complex projects, alongside a senior project manager. Afterward, you will become responsible for your own projects and mentor new junior colleagues, following the motto: ‘See one, do one, teach one.’ You will often be on the move for your work, meeting with clients and working with project teams on-site or at the office.

You are an energetic graduate student in the final stages of your studies, or you have recently graduated in fields such as Civil Engineering & Management, Construction Management Engineering (CME), Management in the Built Environment, or similar disciplines. You have an affinity for healthcare and education and are enthusiastic about the projects we undertake. Additionally, you have a hands-on mentality and enjoy getting your hands dirty. You are sharp, analytically strong, a structured worker, entrepreneurial, and assertive. You have people skills and can connect at various levels. You are self-sufficient but seek help when needed.
